The crimeHQ Podcast Club (NEW!)

Nov 15, 2023

We're always searching for the next podcast to binge and we know you are too so we're starting something new for all of us: The crimeHQ Podcast Club. Think of it like a traditional book club but for podcasts. Together, we'll all listen to a new podcast over 1-2 months (this will vary depending on pod length). We'll have all episodes posted in crimeHQ. Feel free to go at your own pace but after you listen to an episode, head to the bottom of that episode page to leave your thoughts and comments so we can all discuss together. Subsequently, we'll all meet for a special live event and Q&A (or 2!) in crimeHQ with the podcast host and maybe some surprise guests directly involved in the podcast.

What you'll get from Podcast Club

You'll get a few great benefits from participating:

  • Your new favorite podcast (maybe!) Sometimes listening to something outside of your comfort zone and not what you would typically choose is the best way to find a new favorite.
  • Access to exclusive content. We're partnering with podcast hosts to bring you exclusive content from the pod.
  • Meeting new people. crimeHQ members are as excited as you are to dive into the episodes so don't be shy about chatting and discussing along the way

CRIMEHQ PODCAST CLUB SELECTION (NOVEMBER-DECEMBER 2023):

THE BAKERSFIELD THREE

When two friends go missing back-to-back, and in between their disappearances, a third friend is murdered, their mothers begin their own investigation. As the connections between the three cases are explored, the mothers navigate devastating twists and turns, including one revelation that shakes the community to its core.

After listening to the 15-episode series, join us in crimeHQ for a special two-night event on The Bakersfield Three hosted by Kelly McLear and podcast host Olivia LaVoice. We'll be discussing all the twists and turns, including the bombshell that changed everything in this case. Together, we'll discuss different theories, get access to exclusive case visuals and hear from special guests directly involved.

It’s a mystery that’s haunted the nation for over 30 years, spawning a plethora of theories and suspects that continue to be the subject of fervent debate within the true crime community. On June 6th, 1992, friends Suzanne “Suzie” Streeter and Stacy McCall celebrated their high school graduation with friends, ending their evening with a sleepover at Levitt’s home she shared with her mother, Sherrill. By the next day, Stacy, Suzie, and her mother Sherrill had vanished. Mark your calendars for a live discussion on the Springfield Three on Monday, 5/8 at 7p ET. We will be joined by Anne Roderique-Jones, creator and host of the podcast Ozarks True Crime , and retired Missouri police officer Rick Bookout, who was the first officer on the scene. Since his family reported him missing, strange and bizarre incidents have occurred. Dylan’s mother Candice Cooley says her son Dylan is not mentally distressed, has no enemies, was not dating anyone and his biggest concern was about his farm and recent planting. After an extensive 9-month investigation, Dylan’s squating-neighbor, 60-year-old James Brenner has been charged with aggravated murder and abuse or desecration of a human body. Nate and Candice will break down the evidence found to charge Brenner, including Dylan’s boots that were found and the DNA contained on them, firearms, ballistics, clothing and cell phone video.
